Scoring the Level II EvaluationThis program introduces the two new fieldwork performance evaluation forms (FWPE). It is intended to be a portable training program for the Academic Fieldwork Coordinators (AFWC) to take to their various clinical sites. A manual provides further education and training required to fully understand and accurately use the forms. Information about the forms, including pricing, is available in the AOTA Online Store.
Five lessons address how to use the FWPE forms for occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant fieldwork students. Learn how to identify and write site-specific objectives, rate and score student performance, and much more. The AOTA Press publication Using the Fieldwork Performance Evaluation Forms: The Complete Guide is required for taking the course. Training can last from 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on an AFWC's needs and clinical site availability. How To Use This ProgramIt is important to understand the key differences between these new forms and the older fieldwork evaluation forms. AFWCs should review and study the notes pages, the FWPE forms, and both the downloadable documents and resource documents prior to presenting the Inservice in a Box. The forms were designed for use across all practice settings. Impact of State Licensure LawsPlease note state licensure laws dictate the roles and responsibilities of the occupational therapist and occupational therapy assistant in practice. State licensure laws always supercede the AOTA guidelines. |
